How Do Airless Bottles Work?
Airless bottles are made up of two main parts: an inner chamber and an outer chamber. The inner chamber holds your product, while the outer chamber is made up of an airtight seal. This seal keeps air from getting into the bottle and mixing with what’s inside, so your product stays pure and fresh.
When you press down on the pump, it pushes against this seal and creates a vacuum in between them—that’s what draws out your product! The pressure of this vacuum also makes sure no air gets in there either (so no oxidation).
Gravity doesn’t play a role in how airless bottles dispense product – so you can hold them in any orientation and still get the same amount of product out. Whether you’re holding it upside-down, sideways, or at any angle, the product will flow out evenly. This makes them very convenient to use, as you don’t have to worry about orienting the bottle in a certain way to get the product out.
Airless bottles are designed with an advanced dispensing system that helps protect formulas and improve the user experience. They are mainly composed of two key parts: an inner chamber and an outer chamber. The inner chamber stores the product, while the outer chamber creates an airtight environment that prevents external air from entering the bottle.
The airtight seal helps protect the formula from exposure to oxygen, reducing the risk of oxidation and helping maintain product freshness and stability. This makes airless bottles especially suitable for sensitive skincare products, such as serums, creams, lotions, and other formulations that require better protection.
When the pump is pressed, the mechanism pushes against the internal structure and creates a vacuum effect inside the bottle. This vacuum moves the inner piston upward and smoothly pushes the product out through the pump. At the same time, the sealed design prevents air from flowing back into the container, helping reduce contamination and product deterioration.
Unlike traditional packaging that relies on gravity, airless bottles use vacuum technology to dispense products. This means the bottle can be used in different positions, including upside down, sideways, or at various angles, while still providing consistent product output.
The airless system also helps minimize product waste by allowing more formula to be used from the container. Its controlled dispensing performance provides a clean, convenient, and hygienic experience for consumers.
With their functional design, reliable protection, and premium appearance, airless bottles are widely used for skincare, cosmetics, and personal care products. DONGJIN provides high-quality airless packaging solutions that combine practical performance with flexible customization options to meet different brand requirements.
